Student Athlete Development

Academic Assistance

Our full-time academic assistance staff provides support for the entire St. John’s football program. Student athletes have their academic performance monitored and evaluated closely not only in season, but throughout the entire calendar year to support consistent improvement and success in the classroom.

In order to ensure a seamless transition into the college preparatory academic environment at St. John’s, our staff preemptively acclimates incoming student athletes. During the summer prior to the start of their first fall semester, a required introduction course is taken to prepare for upcoming academic rigor and expectations.

Performance Training

Our full-time performance coaching staff provides professional-level training to all St. John’s athletes. Innovative, evidence-based strength and conditioning programs are customized by sport to give each athlete the tools they need to take their performance to the next level.

The health of each St. John's athlete is a top priority. Injury prevention, recovery training and optimal nutrition practices are emphasized in the performance training program.

St. John’s offers two performance training classes during the academic year that are open to any interested student. In addition, each athletic team receives sport-specific training year-round from the performance coaches.
